ISO9001
In August 2012, Macma received ISO 9001 certification. Recertification took place in 2023.
As part of this certification, the internal processes were reviewed and evaluated.
Compliance with fundamental criteria is essential for obtaining and maintaining the certification, as these criteria form the basis of an efficient and successful company. Our customers benefit from our certified corporate structure, as it ensures efficient processes in order handling. We continuously work on optimizing and further developing our processes in order to steadily increase customer satisfaction.
In this process, we are supported by DEKRA Consulting GmbH, which also carries out regular audits at our company.
Trust in Textiles
The “Trust in Textiles” label — also known as “Confidence in Textiles” — is one of the best-known quality certificates in Germany. It applies to textile raw materials, intermediate products, and finished products at all stages of processing.
Certification according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 means that a product has been tested for a wide range of substances of concern to human health, optical brighteners, or comparable substances. This assessment does not only cover the outer fabric, but also all other components of the product. Products intended to receive OEKO-TEX® certification must therefore meet specific requirements and standards.
The certificate was introduced in 1992 by the Hohenstein Institutes in cooperation with the Institute for Ecology, Technology and Innovation. In parallel with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, a globally standardized quality assurance system was established for manufacturers and retailers. Its purpose is to take account of the declining vertical integration within individual companies in the textile industry while also ensuring uniform assessment criteria worldwide.
BSCI
Since June 1, 2016, Macma has been a member of the BSCI — Business Social Compliance Initiative. We take responsibility, including when selecting our suppliers.
For this reason, we place particular importance on compliance with social standards in the production of our items and have committed ourselves to adhering to the BSCI Code of Conduct. This code is based on international agreements such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Children’s Rights and Business Principles, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the OECD Guidelines, the United Nations Global Compact, as well as the conventions and recommendations of the International Labour Organization (ILO). These form an important foundation for improving working conditions throughout the supply chain.
Packaging Act
According to the Packaging Act (VerpackG), which has been in force since January 1, 2019, manufacturers and retailers who place sales packaging on the market are required to license their packaging. A packaging license is required as soon as the retailer or manufacturer acts as the so-called “initial distributor.”
Specifically, this means that when sales packaging is filled with goods for the first time, only cardboard boxes or other forms of packaging may be used that have previously been licensed with a dual system. In return, the packaging systems assume responsibility for the proper collection, sorting, and recycling of the packaging placed on the market and ultimately disposed of by the end consumer.
GRS
The use of the WEEE registration number “DE 72005675,” which is indicated on every electrical device or its packaging, is also subject to a fee. The fees are paid to the responsible authority, Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register.
Through the additional registration of our products with eds-r GmbH / take-back system, we close the loop and ensure proper disposal. This enables your customers to return their waste electrical equipment to various recycling centers or other designated collection points.
The disposal fees for batteries charged to you for electrical items are forwarded to Stiftung GRS — Gemeinsames Rücknahmesystem Batterien under registration number 9901254. This ensures that, when purchasing the items, batteries can be returned to any retailer that sells batteries itself.
AEO Certification
On December 16, 2011, Macma was recognized by the European Community as an Authorized Economic Operator. This certification is granted only to particularly reliable and trustworthy companies.
AEO certification — AEO stands for Authorized Economic Operator — provides numerous customs-related simplifications, particularly with regard to customs inspections.
RoHS 2
RESY
Cardboard packaging is registered with RESY Organisation für Wertstoffentsorgung GmbH and is identified by the RESY symbol on both large and small packaging.
Identification number 10856 confirms that MACMA oHG is listed as a registered participant. This means that all our packaging is integrated into the RESY disposal system, ensuring environmentally responsible recycling.
